From Where I Sit...

Merry Meet and Brightest Blessings,

Paganism refers back to the Latin term "Paganus" meaning: "people of the earth".

To me, all paths to the creative force are valid and to be respected.  I believe no one has an upper hand on the truth. "As ye harm NONE, do what ye will" reflects my state of mind.  My spiritual practices include self-acceptance and understanding, instead of self-rejection. I hold a deep reverence for the Earth and all its creatures, and see all life to be spun together.

I see circles of change and renewal within my own journeys, and those of my ancestors. Magic is a special part of my spirituality. I believe we all possess magic. I chose this road because I wanted answers, not threats of damnation or hypocritical ideas of "reconciliation." I see my Gods and Goddesses all the time in the world around me, and do not hold any personal belief in an "all mighty king."

I have been Pagan since 1997. I could no longer believe in a "merciful god" and the faith of the Earth became my way of life. Looking back on it, I have always been a Pagan stuck in a Catholic house. I practice alone happily in the woods.

Update:

I still think that the whole church scandal was the worst. That I think is the ultimate betrayal b/c of all the trust and hope that is put into the people others follow. To think of how all those kids were called liars, looking for hope and mercy. I find it funny that Jesus says he went into the temple and threw all the money and greed and lies out the proverbial window - and yet how are they trying to shut the people up about all of this - billions of DOLLARS. They will simply never learn.

All of this came from a bunch of fear and lies and hypocrisy, and I will never follow anything that sends people to war, to kill each other, after "thou shall not kill... except for God!" Id rather sit back and watch the fools of the world massacre themselves.

Theres a lot I would change before Id want to live forever, like ending illnesses and restore nature to the way that it was before man ruined it, (which would probably mean LA would have to go, but I could live with that) as well as no more carnage or tyrants of any kind. I want to be able to live in a world where people are prosecuted for their beliefs. Paganism, and the other groups that sit on the peaceful side of things, have never claimed 'love is God and God is great only then to kill others b/c they dont believe in the Word of God.

Im not saying everyone has to agree - just agree to disagree. Yes, I know I live in maybe fantasy world, but I think a lot of people would rather live with me than in the world today.
